Rick and Heather - a Librarian's Wedding! | Evansville, Indiana Wedding Photography

I had just had my daughter Evelynn two months early, right in the middle of one of my toughest semesters of library school yet. I was taking a cataloging course. The teacher was great - the subject for me, was suck. Cataloging is a very left-brained activity.

I don't have a left side to my brain.

Enter, Heather. She sent me her notes. She talked me through things I didn't understand. She had sooo much patience with me, and I passed the course with an A. And a couple of tears, but an A nonetheless.

As soon as I heard she was engaged, I swooped in on that. I didn't care that it was going to be a four hour drive - I wanted to be the one to capture that day for her. I was so incredibly happy when she hired me!

Heather is the director at a tiny but amazing little library near Evansville. She has two gorgeous kids, and just got married to a hilarious dude named Rick, and I loved photographing all four of them!

So, for those of you who have ever wondered what a librarian's wedding looks like, here are a few of my very favorite shots from the day!

 Perfect invites.
Just a bouquet of flowers made from BOOK PAGES!

Not my first wedding where the bride rocks Converse All-Stars, and definitely not my last. The whole time I was shooting in here, I kept saying, "Ugh, I love this, it's all so real."
 Beautiful.
 Like an old Hollywood starlet.
Heather's little girl is incredibly, incredibly beautiful as well.
 Little records for the gals.
It doesn't happen often, but I love when I get a bride that drives herself to the ceremony! Why? Because I did! Also: big dress, little car. I'm just saying. It never fails to inspire the giggles.
Her baby girl walked her down the aisle, and her little boy was the ring bearer!

 A happy new family.
Stopped to rest for a minute at one of their favorite places.
Love this girl. We have so much in common, haha.

Goofballs.
 Her handsome son.

Thank you so much, Heather and Rick! And thank you Clayton for making the drive with me to capture this sweet, down-to-earth, and incredibly genuine wedding!

And that's how librarians get married!

Muncie Photo Tour | Muncie, Indiana Freelance Photography

So, I have never really done architectural photos before ... really, anything other than products, events, or people. This was all new for me. I tried a different editing technique, for example, and I also used a lens I don't normally use. But you know what? I don't think it's too shabby. In fact, I'm excited to share this little project with you.

The project was commission by a wonderful friend of mine, and I'm planning to keep it under wraps until she's done with them. In the meantime, enjoy this photo tour of my beloved home!

A Growing Baby Boy - and Fruit? | Muncie, Indiana Maternity Photography

This is so awesome. Jill is incredibly clever, and I've looked forward to our uber-mini shoots since we set everything up when her little one was just the size of a grape!

Next stop ... baby boy!

Melissa Glidden Photography Wedding Referral Program | Muncie, Indianapolis, Indiana Wedding Photography

I'm so excited about my new wedding referral program, and about spoiling all my clients, both new and established!

This year I'm running an awesome wedding referral program specifically for couples booking weddings that take place in 2013 and 2014.

If you aren't a wedding client, or if you are a past wedding client, then here's the scoop: when you refer a couple to me, you get dinner for two and 25% off a full portrait session, and they get dinner for two and either a complimentary engagement session or $100 off their full wedding package!

If you're an established wedding client, but your wedding hasn't already taken place, then you still get dinner for two, but you also have the option of taking the complimentary engagement session (or other portrait session) OR $100 off your full wedding package - yes, that means $100 back in your pocket, even if you've already paid!

Get in contact with me for details!
